Villa Tuscany Update

We have an update on the promo video for proposed Villa Tuscany memory care facility we produced. To give you a brief overview of what happened. Winter Park Elderly Services is looking to build the Mediterranean style memory care facility in Winter Park, FL. The developer was seeking conditional use approval to build a 34,986-square-foot, three-story assisted living facility with 24 rooms (50 beds). We produced a promo video to be showed at the City of Winter Park Planning & Zoning Board, October 4, 2016. It would be to raise awareness to the people who opposed the project why this facility is needed. For the meeting, the room was filled to capacity with supporters and opposes of the project.

To be quite honest, the Winter Park residents that oppose did not have strong compelling arguments to have the plan be rejected. However, the size of the facility was a concern by the Planning and Zoning Board, so they found middle ground. They voted to approve the use of a Winter Park memory care facility, but asking the applicant to return with a different design that’s more in scale with the surrounding community. It was nice to see our video played and like Alabama Oaks owner Brook Rose told us, it definitely made a difference that night.

Here is the promo video for you to watch.
