CannaBiz Day Orlando Conference June 2014
June 6, 2014, the Florida Cannabis Coalition hosted CannaBiz Day Orlando at the Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel and Convention Center. It would be their second conference event. The purpose of the conference was to build awareness and to educate entrepreneurs about potential business opportunities if the Florida Right to Medical Marijuana Initiative, Amendment 2 vote on November 4, 2014 reaches voter approval. If ratified, Florida would legalize the cultivation, purchase, possession and use of marijuana to treat medical conditions, debilitating ailments including cancer, chronic pain and Lou Gehrig’s disease when recommended by a licensed physician.
CannaBiz Day Orlando was billed as the largest medical marijuana business event to hit the state of Florida welcomed over 200 attendees along with a number of media outlets such as The Orlando Sentinel, WFTV, WOFL Fox 35 Orlando, WTSP, WKME 6, and WMFE. who had the opportunity to listen to Keynote Speaker Steve DeAngelo, founder of California’s largest cannabis clinic system, Harborside Health Center, a medical research laboratory. DeAngelo also had a breakout session with guests following his keynote address. Following Steve DeAngelo’s address, over a dozen speakers which consisted of entrepreneurs, legal experts, activists, Plant Scientists, specialists, and chief executive officers shared their story, insight, and answered questions about medical marijuana facts, laws, news, and health benefits.
Lasting Blueprint Productions previously provided the conference videography for the Florida Cannabis Coalition’s One Common Bond event which was held this past April in Ybor, Florida. Once again we were the company hired to provide video production services for the event, which including capturing guest speakers’ address the people in attendance. We put together a promotional video highlighting CannaBiz Day Orlando. It includes some of the speakers (Tom Quigley, Adrian Wyllie, Oscar Ramirez, Cathy Jordan, The CannaMoms, Meg Sanders, Dooma Wendschuf, Tyler Markwart, and Christopher Ralph).
