2016 Video Production Year In Review
2016 was a wonderful year for our Orlando video production company. Here at Lasting Blueprint Productions we had our best year ever in business! Here are some of the great video production jobs that we have had the opportunity to do in 2016. Enjoy our 2016 video production year in review!
To kick off our 2016 video production year in review, we have to talk about event videography. It was by far our top video production service provided to clients this year. We provided many different types of event video production services such as capturing testimonials and filming general sessions at conferences and conventions. For many of those jobs we visited some of the top meeting and event venues In Orlando. Venues such as the Grand Bohemian Hotel Orlando, Rosen Centre Hotel, Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Downtown, Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel, Orange County Convention Center, and the Hyatt Regency Orlando. When we provide event videography for clients, we typically provide them with a highlight video recapping the days events.
We had the opportunity to document the SPFA‘s Annual Sprayfoam 2016 Convention And Expo at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando. We provided the company with a promo video for their 2017 annual event as well as a testimonial video featuring attendees of the convention.
RAPID 2016 produced by SME
RAPID 2016 was their 26th annual 3D manufacturing event, It was held at the Orange County Convention Center, West Building. For two days, we would shoot testimonials and B-Roll for the company. On the morning of day two we’d also shoot their award show. We shot a nice batch of testimonials for SME. We spoke with students, vendors, teachers, and more. It was cool walking around and seeing the many 3D tech exhibits. SME is a nonprofit that serves the manufacturing industry. They also promote advanced manufacturing tech and developing a skilled workforce.
The idea behind the event was to bring retirees, industry thought leaders, and key influencers together to make sure that all the bases are covered to experience an incredible retirement. We captured the speakers, B-Roll, and testimonials of attendees. The symposium was held at The Alfond Inn, a luxury boutique hotel in Winter Park, Florida.
Uncle Bob’s Storage: Aaron Gordon Meet & Greet
We were contacted by Uncle Bob’s Storage to provide event videography for a meet and greet with Aaron Gordon of the Orlando Magic at Uncle Bob’s Self Storage of Sanford (#139). In attendance, were 300 Orlando Magic fans excited to get an autograph from AG. There would be a video game basketball competition. The winner of the tournament, would get to play Aaron Gordon. The winner of the competition Chris, ended up defeating the Magic forward in their one on one match up. Unfortunately for Aaron, like the 2016 slam dunk contest, he would be the runner up.
My Miracle Marketing Summit 2016
We were hired to provide conference video production for the 2016 My Miracle Marketing Summit at the Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel. For two days, we would capture the speakers and B-Roll such as crowd shots, attendees interacting, and alternate angles of the speakers.
This year was also the first time that Lasting Blueprint Productions owner Leon Bailey had been featured in articles on online publications. Have a look!

Winter Park Memorial Hospital contacted us to shoot employee testimonial videos of Florida Hospital Patient Access representatives. These would be done at the Winter Park Memorial Hospital, Florida Hospital Orlando, and their Maitland office. Also, B-Roll of staff working and location shots of certain hospital areas would be done. We also did a green screen interview. This video production project was a lot of fun. The Patient Access representatives were a group of energetic personalities.
IT Glue: Testimonial Videos
We were at the Hyatt Regency Orlando for two days during IT Nation 2016, the premier event in the technology solution provider industry. We would be shooting interviews for IT Glue inside the Challenger breakout room. IT Glue had a group of their customers share their experience with the IT Glue platform. IT Glue is an IT documentation platform based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Day In The Life Video Production
In our March 2016 video production monthly recap we talked about being hired to document an independent medical examination video for an Orlando law firm. Soon after we were hired to produce a day in the life video production for them. We spent time with their client and the routine that the nurses go through with him. If the case was to go to trial, the video would have been shown so the court would have seen how the client’s injury affects their daily life. For the post-production process, we had to get the final video edit down to about 45 minutes.
Back in September we produced a promo video for a proposed Winter Park memory care facility. Winter Park Elderly Services is looking to build the Mediterranean style memory care facility in Winter Park, FL called Villa Tuscany. The developer was seeking conditional use approval to build a 34,986-square-foot, three-story assisted living facility with 24 rooms (50 beds). We produced a promo video to be showed at the City of Winter Park Planning & Zoning Board, October 4, 2016. It would be to raise awareness to the people who opposed the project why this facility is needed. For the meeting, the room was filled to capacity with supporters and opposes of the project. The size of the facility was a concern by the Planning and Zoning Board, so they found middle ground. They voted to approve the use of a Winter Park memory care facility, but asking the applicant to return with a different design that’s more in scale with the surrounding community.
End Of An Era
We discussed this in our November Video Production Monthly Recap, but we’ll briefly mention it again. Last August, it was decided that we would phase out wedding videography from our list of video production services. Why? Well, the creative direction that we want Lasting Blueprint Productions to go in the future, we could not foresee the wedding industry being a part of those plans. As your video production company grows, you realize that you can’t do everything and you make the necessary adjustments and work towards your strengths.
Thank you for taking time to read our 2016 video production year in review. A lot of work was done and hopefully in 2017 we will see continued growth for our Orlando video production company.
